

Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream
This family recipe from the 1930's is simply the best Strawberry Ice Cream recipe you will ever make.

- Combine marshmallows and milk in a double boiler.3/4 cups mini marshmallows, 1 cup whole milk
- Cook over medium to low heat, stirring constantly until marshmallows are dissolved.
- Set aside mixture until it is cool.
- Whip heavy cream until it is stiff.1 cup heavy cream
- Combine whipped cream, cooled marshmallow mixture, and food coloring.a few drops red food coloring
- Add mixture to ice cream machine, leaving room for strawberries.
- Process ice cream according to machines manufacturing instructions. Once mixture starts to thicken (before the mixture becomes too thick), add strawberries.16 ounces frozen strawberries (defrosted)
- Continue mixing with machine until ice cream is thick and frozen.
- Transfer to a bowl with lid and freeze for 2 hours.
